Dr Katarina Ljubisavljević, herpetologist presented a lecture on reptiles of Montenegro at primary school „Međuriječje“, Međuriječje village, municipality of Kolašin in October 2016. The village is located at the entrance of the Mrtvica River canyon, which was explored during the fieldwork in July. The pupils of different ages had the opportunity to learn more about diversity of reptiles in Montenegro, with special reference to Dinarolacerta lizards and other reptiles that inhabit the canyon. Potential threats to reptiles that inhabit the area of Kolašin municipality were presented. The pupils were informed about some of the things that they can do to protect their unique environment and reptile habitats. The educational material (brochures, T-shirts and poster) were placed in the classroom and distributed to pupils after the lecture. We thank Lidija Raičević and other teachers for hospitality and the help in organizing the lecture.
